AZ Flatbed & Container Truck Driver — $28.00/hr

A building materials distributor near Brantford needs an AZ driver with flatbed and container experience. You'll haul containers and flatbed loads between Brantford, Burlington, Brampton and GTA sites, with training provided.

Pay

• Starting at $28.00 per hour, paid through payroll

What you'll haul

• Container moves: picking up containers in Brampton, delivering them to Brantford, and returning empties

• Flatbed moves: running roughly 48-53 ft flatbed trailers, strapping and securing loads yourself (no tarping needed)

• Flatbed freight from Burlington to job sites and warehouses in the GTA

• Container chassis runs between the CN/CP yard in Brampton and the Brantford and Burlington warehouses (help provided with CN and CP Brampton registration)

• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Schedule

• Five shifts a week with flexible hours depending on workload, including possible overtime

• Must be open to day, afternoon and night shifts

Requirements

• AZ licence

• At least 5 years of AZ driving experience

• Standard transmission experience

• Flatbed experience preferred

• Able to operate a Moffett truck

• Insurance letters showing at least 2 years of verifiable driving history with another trucking company

• Clean driving abstract and criminal record check

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, good communication with customers, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safe work practices
