About this job
Our company is hiring an AZ driver to run flat deck equipment out of their Kleinburg, ON location, supporting the growth of their delivery fleet. You'll work on-site, full-time, on an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift, earning $30 per hour.
What you'll haul
- Flat deck freight, including proper strapping and load securement
What you'll do
- Operate safely in varying road and weather conditions, following MTO rules and hours-of-service limits
- Load, unload, and deliver freight on time
- Complete pre-trip inspections and flag any equipment issues
- Fill out bills of lading and other paperwork accurately, and use onboard ELDs and telematics
- Keep dispatch updated on routes, delays, and any changes
- Represent the company professionally with clients and the public
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with at least 5 years of commercial truck driving experience
- A clean 5-year driver's abstract and valid CVOR
- At least 2 years of flat deck experience (firm requirement)
- Solid understanding of strapping, load securement, and flat deck rules
- Strong grasp of MTO regulations and hours-of-service
- Comfortable using ELDs, BOLs, and onboard systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills while on the road
