AZ Feeder Driver — $25.00/hr, Caledon ON

Our company is hiring a Feeder Driver to run tractor-trailer routes out of Caledon, ON, moving trailers between facilities and back to the home terminal. This is a full-time, permanent union position with set weekly schedules but variable shift times.

Pay

• $25.00/hr, with automatic wage increases under the current Union Collective Agreement

Schedule

• 5 consecutive working days per week

• Overnight shifts with start times that shift based on operational needs

• Each shift runs 8-10 hours, and you'll need flexibility on both start and end times

What you'll haul

• You'll operate 28', 40', 45' and 53' foot trailers within an assigned area

• Expect to follow defensive driving practices, hit delivery windows, keep the truck clean, and report any mechanical issues, collisions, violations or damage right away

Requirements

• Valid Ontario AZ driver's license, unrestricted preferred, able to handle automatic and manual transmissions

• Valid Ontario CVOR

• At least 2 years behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer

• A FAST card is a plus but not mandatory

• Driver's abstract must show no violations in the last 12 months, no more than 2 violations over the last 36 months, zero accidents, and no more than 5 demerit points over the last 36 months

• Comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs (35kg) solo and 150 lbs (68kg) with help

• Able to use maps or map books to find routes

• Must clear a pre-employment road test and complete a 2-week our company training program to qualify

Costs to know about

• Union dues run about $52 a month

• A one-time $50 union initiation fee gets deducted after your first 90 working days
