AZ End Dump Truck Driver — Cross-Border, Up to $4000 Sign-On Bonus

Our company in Grimsby, ON is looking for an AZ licensed driver to run end dump loads across the US/Canada border. You'll be paid by the mile plus extra for loading, unloading and border crossings, and there's a bonus for signing on.

Pay

• Base rate of .70 cents per mile

• $30 for loading

• $30 for unloading

• $21.50 per border crossing

• Sign-on bonus and other perks kick in after 3 months on the job

What you'll haul

• Tandem and tri-axle dump/bulk trailers

What the job involves

• Pre-trip inspections, including releasing the king pin and raising/lowering dolly legs

• Loading and unloading bulk/dump freight

• Opening and closing trailer tarps by hand crank

• Sweeping out trailers after unloading, including frozen product

• Removing cross bows from the trailer top with a hammer

• Climbing in and out of the tractor multiple times a day

• Driving 1 to 4 hours at a stretch, shifting gears

• Walking on uneven ground at customer sites

• Handling occasional equipment issues like stuck doors or tarps

• Maximizing load size and understanding axle weights

• Completing logbooks, customs paperwork and trip envelopes

• Fueling and keeping the truck clean, using a Peoplenet e-log

Requirements

• Valid AZ license

• At least 1 year of heavy haul experience, or 3 years of over-the-road experience

• Ability to cross the Canada/US border regularly

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• Physically able to climb 12 feet in and out of dump trailers several times a day and lift 20-25 kg of material

• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
