Join our company as an AZ licensed driver hauling end dump bulk loads across the US/Canada border out of Grimsby, ON. You'll be paid per mile plus extra for loading, unloading and border crossings, with additional perks kicking in after three months on the job.
Pay
- Mileage rate of .70 cents per mile
- $30 for loading
- $30 for unloading
- $21.50 for border crossings
- Sign-on bonus and other benefits begin after 3 months
What you'll haul
- Bulk and dump freight using tandem and tri-axle dump trailers
- Work includes tarping, cleaning trailers (including frozen loads), and removing cross bows
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- At least 1 year of heavy haul experience, or 3 years of over-the-road experience
- Ability to cross the Canada/US border regularly
- Clean CVOR and driver's abstract
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Physically able to climb in and out of trailers multiple times a day and lift 20-25 kg of material
What you'll do
- Conduct pre-trip inspections
- Load, unload and tarp dump trailers
- Clean out trailers after unloading
- Handle paperwork including logbooks and customs documents
- Fuel the truck and keep the cab clean
- Use an electronic logging device (Peoplenet)
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, safety and maintenance teams
