About this job
Our company is hiring an AZ licensed company driver for end dump freight crossing the US/Canada border out of Grimsby, ON. You're paid by the mile plus extra for loading, unloading and border crossings.
Pay
- Mileage rate: $0.70 per mile
- Loading: $30
- Unloading: $30
- Border crossings: $21.50
- Sign-on bonus and other benefits begin after 3 months
- Sign-on bonus up to $4000
What you'll haul
- Tandem and tri-axle dump trailers hauling bulk/dump products
What you'll do
- Pre-trip inspections, loading and unloading, tarping, and cleaning trailers (including frozen product)
- Remove cross bows from the trailer top as needed
- Handle paperwork including logbook, customs documents, and trip envelopes
- Fuel the truck and use an electronic logging device (Peoplenet)
- Maximize load sizes and know axle weights
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- At least 1 year of heavy haul experience, or 3 years of over-the-road experience
- Must be able to cross the Canada-US border
- Good CVOR and clean driver's abstract
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Physically able to climb in and out of dump trailers and lift 20-25 kg of material repeatedly
