About this job
Our company is hiring an AZ licensed company driver for end dump work crossing the US/Canada border out of Grimsby, ON. You'll be paid by the mile plus extra for loading, unloading and border crossings.
Pay
- .70 cents per mile
- $30 for loading
- $30 for unloading
- $21.50 per border crossing
- Sign-on bonus and other benefits begin after 3 months
What you'll haul
- Tandem and tri-axle dump/bulk trailers
What you'll do
- Pre-trip inspections, including handling the fifth wheel and dolly legs
- Load and unload bulk/dump product
- Open and close trailer tarps
- Sweep and clean trailers, including removing frozen product
- Remove cross bows from the trailer top as needed
- Maximize load sizes and manage axle weights
- Handle paperwork: logbook, customs, trip envelopes
- Fuel the truck and keep it clean
- Use an electronic logging device (Peoplenet)
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- At least 1 year of heavy haul experience, or 3 years of over-the-road experience
- Good CVOR and clean driver's abstract
- Able to cross the Canada/US border
- Physically able to climb in and out of dump trailers (about 12 feet) several times a day and lift 20-25 kg of material
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
