AZ/DZ Truck Driver — $29.00-$33.00/hr

Our company, a family-owned landscape contractor in Ottawa's Nation's Capital region since 1992, needs AZ and DZ licensed drivers for its 150+ person team. You could be assigned to tri-axle, tandem, sweeper, water truck, or similar equipment, hauling material and equipment to and from commercial and residential job sites, often hitting several locations in a day on your assigned route.

Pay

• $29.00-$33.00 per hour

• Expect around 55 hours per week

What you'll do

• Load, transport and unload materials and equipment at job sites

• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks

• Map out your routes to keep deliveries on schedule

• Lend a hand to other drivers when needed to keep customers happy

• Stay within traffic laws at all times

• Keep dispatch, clients and coworkers in the loop

• Keep your driver paperwork up to date

• Keep your truck and gear tidy after each use

• Flag any equipment, customer or team concerns and offer fixes

• Follow company safety rules and WHMIS standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of driving experience

• Valid AZ or DZ license

• Clean CVOR and clean personal driving abstract

• Able to work 10 to 12 hour shifts

• Familiar with Ottawa and the surrounding area

• Strong communication and time-management abilities
