About this job
Our company in Sutton West, ON needs reliable DZ or AZ drivers to haul scrap metal and recyclable materials for its scrap yard operation. You'll move loads between customer sites, yards, and processing plants while keeping safety and compliance front and center.
Pay
- $27.00-$40.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Scrap metal and recyclable materials, picked up from commercial, industrial, and customer sites and moved between yards, warehouses, and processing facilities
- Occasional help loading and unloading
Responsibilities
- Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your truck each day
- Secure every load properly and stay within weight limits and transport rules
- Follow MTO regulations and company safety practices
- Keep up with paperwork: delivery tickets, inspection reports, driver logs
- Stay in contact with dispatch, yard staff, and customers about pickups and deliveries
- Flag any vehicle issues, safety concerns, accidents, or load discrepancies right away
- Keep your vehicle and work area clean and safe
Requirements
- Valid AZ or DZ licence
- Strong safety mindset and dependable work habits
- Experience with commercial vehicles, ideally in scrap or industrial settings
