About this job
Our company Canada Inc. needs a Ready Mix Driver to haul concrete to job sites in and around Windsor and the surrounding area. This is a full-time, hourly position with local routes that get you home every night.
Pay
Starting hourly wage is $33.20 CAD (probationary rate under the collective agreement). Overtime is paid at a competitive rate when you put in extra hours.
Home time
All runs stay in the local region, so you return home each night.
Schedule
Shifts run Monday through Friday, with Saturdays and evenings added during busy project periods.
What you'll haul
You'll move ready-mix concrete to construction sites, including major infrastructure and residential builds in the area. Trucks are late-model Class AZ or DZ units, mostly automatic, and you'll handle thorough pre-trip and post-trip checks to keep them road-ready.
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ or DZ license with an Air Brake (Z) endorsement
- Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Construction delivery or heavy vehicle experience is a plus, though the company trains newcomers to the field
- A clean CVOR/driver's abstract and strong safety habits
- Physically able to climb onto the truck and lift chutes
- Must follow all required PPE rules, including respirator use; a proper respirator seal means staying clean shaven where it contacts your face
