About this job
Our company is hiring AZ/DZ licensed drivers for its Napanee, ON location to operate a range of industrial trucks and equipment.
What you'll drive
- Combination units
- Power vacuum units
- Hydro excavation units
- Box trucks
- Roll-off bin units
- High-pressure water blasters
- Tractor trailers (AZ/DZ)
What you'll do
- Secure and handle cargo safely and in line with regulations
- Complete pre-trip and ongoing equipment inspections
- Follow hours of service, dangerous goods, and safety rules
- Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading
- Check vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before driving
- Report defects, accidents, or damage
- Keep accurate logs and documentation (logbooks, bills of lading, manifests)
- Load and unload trucks
- Deliver goods and paperwork to customers on time
- Report customer, mechanical, or delivery issues to supervisors
Schedule
Day shift Monday to Friday, with on-call duty every fourth weekend. Manual transmission experience preferred, but both manual and automatic trucks are available.
Requirements
- Valid AZ or DZ driver's license
- Clean driver's and CVOR abstract
- Able to work irregular hours and variable shifts
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at heights
- Mechanical knowledge
