AZ/DZ Industrial Driver — Liquids Division

GFL Timmins needs an AZ/DZ Industrial Driver to join the liquids division, handling cargo, equipment and deliveries at job sites.

What you'll do

• Secure and handle cargo safely, prep equipment, and follow all relevant acts and regulations

• Work with manifests, bills of lading and other shipping paperwork, both on paper and electronically

• Inspect your truck and load before, during and after trips to confirm everything is roadworthy and properly secured

• Follow rules covering hours of service, dangerous goods transport, customs, immigration, and weight and dimension limits

• Position the truck for loading and unloading, taking direction from the loading crew and checking equipment placement

• Report any defects, accidents, violations or damage involving the vehicle

• Keep accurate logs of your hours and the truck's maintenance and repair history

• Load and unload freight, then clean up any debris left behind

• Deliver product and paperwork to customers promptly and professionally

• Flag any customer, mechanical or delivery issues to your supervisor

• Train other staff when needed and take on other assigned tasks

Requirements

• Valid AZ or DZ license

• Must be clean shaven

• Able to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor and equipment operation on site

• Solid mechanical skills for routine vehicle upkeep

• Calm, professional manner under pressure

• Comfortable working quickly, and both indoors and outdoors

• Open to overtime and occasional weekend work under a weekly on-call rotation
