About this job
Our company in Milton, ON is looking for a dependable dump truck driver to haul materials between job sites. You'll run a manual-transmission rig and need an AZ or DZ licence to be considered.
Pay

What you'll haul
- Construction materials and debris moved between job sites
- Loads must be secured and kept within weight limits during transport
What you'll do
- Load and unload materials following safety procedures
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to catch mechanical or safety problems early
- Keep accurate records of trips, loads and maintenance work
- Lend a hand with forklift work when loading or unloading calls for it
- Handle minor repairs or troubleshooting to keep the truck running well
- Stay on top of traffic laws and company safety rules
- Keep supervisors and the team informed on delivery timing and site conditions
Requirements
- Valid AZ or DZ licence with the endorsements needed for dump truck work
- Manual transmission experience
- Hands-on background running heavy equipment, including dump trucks and forklifts
- Familiarity with freight handling and transportation safety standards
- Comfortable doing basic repair or troubleshooting work on heavy vehicles
- Solid grasp of safety rules covering commercial driving and heavy equipment
- Clean driving history, free of recent violations or accidents
- Physically able to load, unload and secure materials in all kinds of weather
- Background in construction, mining or similar work is a plus but not required
