AZ/DZ Box Truck Driver — From $26/hr

Our company is hiring a box truck driver to handle palletized deliveries across the Greater Toronto Area, including downtown Toronto, running a 26-foot straight truck on a middle-mile route between warehouses and retail stores.

Pay

• Starting at $26.00 per hour

Schedule

• Choice of Sunday-Tuesday or Thursday-Saturday, each with 12-hour shifts

• An optional fourth shift of 6-8 hours on Wednesday is available either way

What you'll haul

• Palletized retail goods moved between warehouses and stores throughout the GTA

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Handle freight manually with a pallet jack, including hand-bombing and unloading

• Keep dispatch updated on arrival times and delivery status through Slack

• Track your route and stay compliant using ELDs and handheld devices

• Protect cargo condition throughout each run

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers

Requirements

• Ontario A, B, C or D license with Z air brake endorsement

• At least 3 years driving commercially with palletized freight and tailgate deliveries

• Minimum age of 25

• Solid knowledge of GTA roads and downtown Toronto

• Clean driving abstract and CVOR over the last 3 years

• Available for varied hours across weekdays and weekends

• Background with similar vehicles (school bus, garbage truck, industrial equipment) is a plus
