AZ Driver/Yard Coordinator — From $27.50/hr, Night Shifts

Our company, a family-owned 3PL running around the clock, needs an AZ Driver/Yard Coordinator at its Etobicoke, ON site. The role splits time between driving an AZ truck and keeping trailers moving in the yard, on a rotating night schedule.

Pay

• Starting at $27.50 an hour

Schedule

• A 3/4, 4/3 rotating pattern of 12-hour night shifts, 6:30pm to 6:30am, with alternating Wednesdays plus Thursday through Saturday

• Your specific duties switch every two weeks

What you'll do

• Handle an AZ truck in a safe manner

• Direct and track trailer movement around the yard

• Get trailers pre-cooled or pre-heated and look over equipment condition

• Handle move requests coming from the warehouse

• Keep your truck and trailer tidy

• Stick to safety protocols, including a pre-trip check each day

• Stay in touch with dispatch and with shippers and receivers

Requirements

• A valid AZ licence and a clean abstract

• At least 3 years driving commercially with an AZ licence

• Solid communication skills, spoken and written

• Familiarity with hours of service rules and ELDs

• Reefer experience is a plus

• At least 1 year running a forklift; holding a forklift licence is a bonus
