AZ Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator — $23.00–$35.00/hr

Our company in Cannington, ON needs a hands-on equipment operator who also holds an AZ licence. You'll run heavy machinery and drive commercial trucks across job sites to keep excavation, grading and septic projects moving.

Pay

• $23.00 to $35.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Run excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks and horizontal drilling rigs on site

• Drive dump trucks, tankers and flatbeds to move materials and equipment between locations

• Check and maintain machinery and vehicles so everything stays safe and in working order

• Help set up gear and prep materials for excavation, paving, grading and water management work

• Work alongside the crew to keep jobs on schedule and follow safety rules throughout

• Keep records of equipment use, inspections and hauling activity

Requirements

• Valid AZ licence with a clean driving record and commercial driving background

• Around 5 years of hands-on experience, ideally including excavator work

• Mechanical understanding of excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drills, tankers and paving equipment

• Construction site experience; familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is a strong plus

• Comfortable reading blueprints and able to lead and communicate clearly on site

• Solid grasp of construction safety practices

• Able to handle physical work, including lifting and long hours outdoors

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Bonus if you know excavation, grading, paving, water management or horizontal drilling

This is a full-time, in-person position.
