Our company in North Bay, ON is looking for an AZ Delivery Driver to handle freight deliveries and basic equipment work. You'll be on the road daily, moving freight to different drop-off points while keeping things running smoothly on your end.
Pay
- $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
What you'll do
- Drive a commercial delivery vehicle on assigned routes, following traffic laws and safety rules
- Load and unload freight with a forklift or other heavy equipment, handling it safely and securely
- Check your vehicle and equipment regularly, and handle minor repairs or troubleshooting yourself
- Confirm shipments match paperwork, fill out delivery records, and get signatures on drop-off
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to manage timing, give updates, and sort out any delivery hiccups
- Keep your truck and gear clean and in order during your shift
- Follow safety steps for equipment use and freight handling to avoid accidents or damage
Requirements
- Valid AZ license (or equivalent) with solid commercial driving background
- Forklift and heavy machinery experience in a freight-handling setting
- Familiarity with freight logistics, loading/unloading methods, and transportation safety standards
- Basic automotive troubleshooting or repair skills for on-the-road issues
- Comfortable working solo in a fast-paced role with strong attention to detail
