About this job
Our company needs a dependable long-haul driver to run freight between Ontario, Canada and California, USA. You'll handle round trips to the Los Angeles, San Bernardino/Inland Empire and San Diego areas, among other California stops.

What you'll haul
- General freight on tractor-trailer equipment moving between Ontario and California
Responsibilities
- Drive tractor-trailer combinations safely on routes crossing the US-Canada border
- Pick up and drop off loads on time
- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks
- Keep electronic logs and Hours of Service records current
- Load and secure freight correctly
- Stay in touch with dispatch during trips
- Comply with transportation and safety rules in both countries
- Handle customs paperwork and delivery documents at the border
- Keep your truck clean and in good condition
- Flag mechanical problems, safety concerns or delays right away
