AZ Cross-Border Truck Driver — From $7,200/Month

Ideal Logistics needs experienced AZ truck drivers for regular cross-border runs between Toronto and the United States, including Midwest and California lanes. Team and couple drivers are also welcome, as long as both meet the licensing and cross-border requirements.

Pay

• From $7,200.00 per month

Routes and schedule

• Based out of Toronto, running to U.S. destinations such as the Midwest and California, then back to Toronto

• Roughly 1-2 trips per week depending on the route and operational needs

• Average of 3,000 miles per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer freight moving between Canada and the U.S.

• You'll load, secure and protect freight to avoid damage or loss, and keep the truck and trailer clean and in good condition

What the job involves

• Running pre-trip and post-trip inspections and flagging any mechanical or safety issues

• Handling minor maintenance or repairs yourself when needed

• Logging deliveries, mileage, fuel use, hours of service and any incidents or delays

• Staying in touch with dispatch about delivery progress, border crossings and delays

• Dealing professionally with customers, shippers and receivers

• Following Canadian and U.S. trucking regulations, traffic laws and company safety rules

• Handling customs procedures and border crossings safely

Requirements

• Valid AZ licence with a clean driving record

• At least 2 years of commercial tractor-trailer driving experience, including cross-border freight work in North America

• U.S. cross-border driving experience is a plus

• Valid passport and any paperwork needed to cross the Canada-U.S. border

• Willing and able to travel regularly across the U.S.

• Solid grasp of safe driving practices and commercial vehicle rules

• Good time management, organization, communication and customer service skills

• Dependable, on time, and comfortable working without close supervision

• Basic mechanical repair knowledge and an Air Brake Endorsement are a plus, not mandatory
