AZ Cross-Border Truck Driver — $95,000–$105,000/Year

VTL V-Trans has been running food, grocery and dedicated freight for 36 years, and is looking for an AZ/Class 1 driver out of Ajax, Ontario to run US routes. You'll handle heavy-duty trucks and freight while keeping safety and service standards high.

What you'll haul

• Cross-border US routes hauling freight for food, grocery and dedicated transportation accounts

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 / AZ trucks on US routes, following traffic laws and safety rules

• Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or other equipment when needed, and secure it properly

• Do pre-trip inspections to catch maintenance or safety problems before you head out

• Keep accurate records of hours of service, freight info and delivery paperwork

• Stay in contact with dispatch, clients and coworkers to keep pickups and drop-offs on schedule

• Handle basic repairs or troubleshooting to keep the truck running

• Follow company safety policies at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 / AZ license with a clean driving record

• Experience running a forklift or similar equipment for freight handling

• Solid understanding of freight handling and cross-border safety rules

• Comfortable doing basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs

• Strong communication skills for working with dispatch and clients

• Track record of operating heavy equipment safely
