Our company in Markham, ON is looking for an experienced AZ driver to haul freight across the border. You'll need at least three years behind the wheel and a solid record of safe, compliant driving.
What you'll do
- Drive an AZ-licensed truck across international borders, following all transport laws and safety rules
- Move freight on cross-border lanes and keep deliveries on schedule
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks, covering brakes, lights, tires and load security
- Load and unload cargo securely, with correct paperwork for every shipment
- Run a forklift or other equipment when cargo needs to be loaded or unloaded
- Handle minor mechanical troubleshooting or repairs if issues come up on the road
- Keep accurate logs of mileage, cargo, inspections and delivery paperwork
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with cross-border driving experience
- Comfortable and safe operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment
- Solid understanding of freight handling and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Clear communication with dispatch, customers and border officials
- Careful, thorough approach to vehicle inspections
- Willing to work with changing schedules and routes
Pay
$300.00-$400.00 per day
