About this job
Our company needs an AZ Line Haul Driver in Waterloo, ON for its Solid Waste division. You'll run daily cross-border trips hauling solid waste from transfer stations to landfills in Michigan, with dedicated equipment and the chance to be home every night.
What you'll haul
- Solid waste moved from transfer stations to various landfills
- Daily runs into Michigan, crossing the US border in a commercial motor vehicle each trip
- Routes covering roughly 600 to 1100 km per day, on shifts of 10 to 14 hours
Schedule
- Home every night
- Optional Saturday shifts available
Pay
- Competitive pay rates plus lane pay
- Bi-weekly and quarterly incentive payouts

Requirements
- Valid AZ license with at least 3 years of relevant driving experience
- Strong backing skills
- Able to cross the US border daily in a commercial vehicle
- Must pass checks including a driver's abstract, CVOR abstract, criminal background check and DOT-regulated drug testing
- Experience hauling waste is a plus, and heavy hauling background is an asset
- Comfortable logging hours electronically and on paper in line with DOT and MTO rules, and handling daily vehicle inspections, defect reporting, and paperwork such as fuel and toll receipts
- Solid grasp of trucking regulations, a professional attitude, and the ability to stay composed under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Training
- One-on-one coaching with an experienced driver trainer
- Two weeks of paid, industry-specific training held in Ayr, ON
