About this job
Our company is looking for experienced AZ highway drivers out of their Guelph, ON terminal to run Dry Van freight across Canada and the US. This is a full-time cross-border role with a newly updated, higher pay package, and you'll be out on the road 5-6 days at a stretch.
Schedule
- Weeks typically run Sunday to Friday
- Expect 5-6 consecutive days out, sleeping in your truck during that time
What you'll haul
- Dry Van freight moving between Canada and the United States
- You may be assigned to either the Dry Van or Reefer division
What the job involves
- Running freight across the Canada-US border
- Staying on top of all safety, compliance and cross-border rules
- Handling dispatched loads promptly and professionally
- Keeping accurate logs and paperwork in order
Requirements
- Valid AZ or Class 1 licence
- 2 years of verified driving experience in Canada and the US
- Clean CVOR and driver's abstract
- Clean criminal record check, needed for cross-border travel
- Willing and able to cross into the US on a regular basis
- Able to handle 5-6 straight days on the road
- FAST Card is a plus
