About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced AZ driver to run a weekly cross-border dump/B-train route out of Kingston, ON. You'll typically head out Sunday night or Monday morning and be back by Friday, staying in the truck through the week.
Pay
- Starting pay is $7,600 a month (also listed as from $3,800.00 bi-weekly)
- Drivers on this run can earn over $100,000 annually
Home time
- Out Monday through Friday, home on weekends
What you'll haul
- B-train dump trailer combinations hauling bulk product
- Route crosses the Canada-U.S. border
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- 3 years of over-the-road experience, or heavy haul experience preferred
- Clean CVOR and driver's abstract
- Able to cross the U.S./Canada border
- Physically able to climb 12 feet in and out of dump trailers several times a day
- Able to lift 20-25 kg of material repeatedly through the shift
What you'll do
- Perform pre-trip inspections and hook/unhook trailers
- Load and unload bulk and dump freight
- Open and close trailer tarps
- Sweep out trailers, including frozen product
- Remove cross bows from the trailer top
- Handle logbooks, customs paperwork and trip documents
- Fuel the truck daily and keep the cab clean
- Use an electronic logging device
- Maximize load sizes with attention to axle weights
