5-Ton Driver/Mover — $20.00-$27.00/hour

Our company in Calgary is looking for a 5-ton driver who also works as part of their moving crew. You'll be out of the office, hauling and handling office furniture at job sites around the city, and pitching in on a variety of tasks beyond just driving.

What you'll do

• Load and unload equipment and furniture at different locations

• Pad, wrap and strap items securely inside the truck

• Drop off furniture at client sites

• Drive and maneuver through downtown Calgary and nearby areas, including various loading docks

• Help the crew reposition or adjust furniture

• Move items between buildings

• Handle multiple stops for pickups and deliveries

• Keep the truck maintained and ready to go, following safety procedures

Requirements

• At least 5 years of verifiable experience driving a 5-ton truck

• Full Class 5 licence (no GDL) with a clean abstract - no suspensions or violations

• Comfortable securing loads with straps

• Able to lift and move items over 75 lbs

• Confident navigating downtown and various dock areas across the city

• Available flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• A Commercial Driver's Abstract will be requested during the interview

• Air Brakes certification and a Q-endorsement are a plus, not mandatory

• Experience with office furniture moves/installations and being handy with tools are helpful but not required

Pay

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with potential up to $27.00 per hour depending on your driving background and familiarity with office furniture. Overtime kicks in after 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week.
