1st Shift CDL-A Truck Driver

Anchor Fabrication in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a 1st shift truck driver to join its Logistics team. You'll haul raw materials and finished products between suppliers, customer sites and company divisions, keeping deliveries on schedule and customers satisfied.

What you'll do

• Move finished goods and raw materials between plants, retail sites and distribution centers

• Check your vehicle for mechanical or safety concerns and keep up with preventative maintenance

• Hit delivery deadlines and position the truck correctly for loading and unloading

• Keep accurate logs of your work and rest periods

• Gather and confirm delivery paperwork and instructions

• Follow all trucking laws (weight, size, routing, parking, breaks) along with company procedures

• Report any accidents, equipment problems or violations

Requirements

• Valid Class A driver's license

• At least 2 years of verified truck driving experience

• Trucking school diploma

• Comfortable using GPS, AVL and CB equipment

• Solid grasp of truck driving laws and regulations

• Clean recent driving record, with no recent violations

• Able to drive long hours and adjust to changing traffic or weather

• Willing to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening, and provide work references

• Must pass a DOT physical

• Able to lift up to 100 lbs, work in any weather, back up using mirrors, and maneuver the truck into tight spots

• Good peripheral vision needed

This role is based in a fabrication shop setting and involves regular contact with customers.
