Yard Switcher Driver

Our company is looking for a yard switcher in Winnipeg, MB to shuttle trailers between loading doors and yard spots, with occasional hands-on package handling. This role involves interview-based hiring and varying shifts based on business needs.

What you'll do

• Shuttle trailers to and from load and unload doors around the yard

• Load and unload freight by hand when needed, using proper lifting technique

• Sort packages by scanning labels and reading charts to route them to the right conveyor

• Handle continuous lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying during shifts of roughly two to four hours

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean record (two or fewer violations or accidents in the last 24 months)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• About six months of experience as a package handler or in a switching/CDL role is preferred

• French and English fluency required for positions in Quebec

• Must pass required training, testing and periodic accreditation

Schedule

This is a part-time permanent (PPT) position with shifts Sunday 14:00-21:00 and Monday through Friday 16:00-23:00.
