Our company in the Moncton Area, NB is looking for a truck driver to handle freight transport and keep deliveries running on schedule.
What you'll do
- Drive heavy-duty trucks on assigned routes, following traffic laws and safety rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load and unload freight, including lifting heavy items when needed
- Keep accurate logs, delivery paperwork and schedules
- Stay in contact with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
- Watch for mechanical problems and report them right away
Requirements
- Solid work history as a truck driver with a clean driving record
- Comfortable with heavy lifting during loading and unloading
- Good knowledge of traffic laws, safe driving practices and route planning
- Strong communication skills for working with the team and customers
- Physical endurance for long hours on the road and hands-on tasks
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is helpful but not required
Pay and schedule
- Pay: from $0.21 per hour
- Hours: no more than 44.0 per week
- Work location: in person
