About this job
Our company is looking for a reliable tow truck driver to recover, transport and deliver vehicles in and around Prince George, BC. You'll work directly with customers who need help after breakdowns or accidents, so a calm, friendly approach matters as much as your driving skills.
What you'll do
- Drive a tow truck to pick up, haul and drop off vehicles at various locations
- Help stranded or accident-involved customers with courteous, professional service
- Check your equipment regularly, including hydraulics, winches and safety gear, to keep it road-ready
- Use forklift skills when a job calls for loading or unloading vehicles in tricky situations
- Handle basic diagnostics and minor repairs on mechanical issues that come up on the road
- Keep accurate records of each job, vehicle condition and customer contact
- Follow traffic laws and safety procedures on every call
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean record
- Solid mechanical know-how and the ability to diagnose automotive problems
- Background driving large commercial or heavy-duty towing vehicles
- Comfortable talking with customers and providing friendly, professional support
- Able to safely run a forklift when the job requires it
- Basic repair skills for minor on-the-job fixes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure
Pay
Starting at $6,000.00 per month.
Work location
This is an on-the-road position.
