About this job
Our company is looking for a temporary delivery driver in Williams Lake, BC to handle pickups and drop-offs on an assigned local route for up to 12 weeks.
Pay
- $24.00 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time hours required, Monday through Saturday, 5 days a week
- Temporary assignment, up to 12 weeks depending on business needs
What you'll do
- Drive your route safely, picking up and dropping off packages while representing the company professionally
- Check that packages meet service standards, label them correctly, and keep paperwork accurate
- Load the vehicle and plan your stops for an efficient route
- Use onboard tracking and dispatch systems to log accurate information
- Answer customer questions about shipping services and requirements
- Spot potential new business and pass leads to the sales team
- Occasionally help load or unload aircraft or containers depending on location
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- No prior experience required; a year of customer service experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license (class 5, G, or 1/AZ)
- No more than two violations or accidents on your record in the last 24 months
- Must pass a driving record review, interview, and driving evaluation
