Tow Truck Operator / Flat Deck & Wrecker Driver — $21.84–$32.45/hr

Our company in Edmonton is looking for Flat Deck Drivers and Wrecker Operators to handle towing and transport calls around the clock. You'll work roadside and on worksites, moving vehicles and equipment safely and keeping customers informed along the way.

Pay

• $21.84-$32.45 per hour

What you'll do

• Operate flat deck or wrecker units based on your experience and licensing

• Secure and move vehicles and equipment with chains, straps, winches, steering locks and lighting systems

• Carry out heavy winching jobs when needed

• Haul light-duty through heavy-duty and commercial equipment

• Fill out service reports and take customer payments

• Keep communication professional with both customers and coworkers

Schedule

• Shifts vary across a 24/7/365 operation, so flexibility is required

• You'll be working outdoors in all Alberta weather

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL), Class 3, or Class 1 license with Air Brake Endorsement

• Able to climb, kneel, and get in and out of equipment regularly, plus lift up to 90 lbs occasionally

• Close attention to detail and alignment with Transport Canada safety rules

• A 5-year commercial driving abstract and an insurance driver profile

• No more than two minor convictions over the last three years

• Towing experience (around 1 year) is preferred

• A plus if you have background in heavy trucking, over-length or over-dimension loads, mechanical repair, or driving in Western Canada

• Must be able to supply safety tickets, relevant certifications, your commercial driving record, and a police clearance including a vulnerable sector check
