About this job
Our company needs a fill-in courier in Castlegar, BC to cover open delivery runs for about 3 months while regular drivers are out. You'll step into different routes as needed rather than running one set route every day.
Pay
- $25.50 an hour
- Temporary assignment, about 3 months long
Schedule
- You need to be free to work Monday through Friday
What you'll do
- Pick up and drop off packages, stepping in on routes when the usual courier is off
- Guide and set the tone for hourly team members through solid communication and leadership
- Help build business by spotting chances to bring in more revenue
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent credential
- Valid driver's license and a solid driving history
- Minimum of 6 months prior experience working as a courier
- Willing to get certified in dangerous goods (DG) handling and keep up with annual refresher training
- Able to lift as much as 70 lbs on your own and move packages up to 150 lbs using equipment
- For roles based in Quebec, you must speak both French and English
