Team Cross-Border Truck Driver — $70,000–$80,000/yr

Our company needs team drivers to run long-haul loads across the US-Canada border. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Woodstock, NB.

Pay

• $70,000-$80,000 per year

What you'll haul

• Freight moving on cross-border lanes between the USA and Canada

• Some loads are refrigerated, and some may be hazardous or dangerous goods

What the job involves

• Driving straight trucks or tractor-trailers over 4600 kg with 3 or more axles

• Loading and unloading freight and keeping it secure for the trip

• Checking tires, lights, brakes and refrigeration units before each run

• Handling minor roadside fixes and arranging the special permits international routes require

• Tracking mileage, fuel and load details through a log book or onboard system

• Staying in touch with dispatch and fellow drivers by CB radio, phone or onboard computer

• Running either as part of a two-driver team or in convoy with other trucks

Requirements

• Comfortable hauling hazardous or dangerous goods when assigned

• Able to secure the permits and paperwork needed for international crossings
