Tanker Truck Driver — $29.50/hr, Home Daily

Our company is looking for a tanker driver in Mooresville, NC to haul bulk liquid chemicals and hazardous materials for its customers. You'll be home every night, with Sundays consistently off.

Pay

• $29.50 per hour, working 40-50 hours per week

• Opportunities for extra pay on Saturdays

• $15 daily per diem for lunch

Home time

• Overnight trips are rare; expect to be home daily

• Sundays off every week

What you'll haul

• Bulk liquid commodities and hazardous chemicals

• You'll load, transport, unload and transfer chemicals into customer tanks, and clean out tanker trailers between chemical changeovers

Requirements

• CDL-A required

• At least 3 years behind the wheel of a tractor

• Clean driving and safety record over the last 3 years

• Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements preferred

• Valid DOT medical card and physical qualification to drive

• Able to show proof of experience or training on the equipment our company/Chemtrade uses

• Prior experience using an electronic logging device

• Comfortable with a flexible, changeable schedule, minimal supervision, and strong customer service and communication skills

• You'll keep accurate HOS logs, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, handle paperwork like bills of lading and certificates of analysis, and help with incident investigations as needed
