About this job
Our company in Prince George, BC is hiring a Shuttle Driver to move freight between and within facilities using a non-articulated vehicle. This is a full-time role with shifts scheduled between Monday and Saturday, and it's treated as an interview position.
What you'll do
- Load, unload and transport freight between facilities
- Check package size and weight, and sort by service type and destination
- Scan shipments with company tracking tools
- Keep your vehicle clean and handle basic upkeep
- Follow safety rules and secure company and customer property
- Occasionally help with pickups or deliveries in emergencies, up to about 10% of your time
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted Class 5 or Class G driver's license with a clean record
- No more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to complete required training and recurring certifications
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs on your own, or up to 150 lbs with equipment or help
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in French and English if based in Quebec
