Shuttle Driver — Class 5/G License Required

Our company in Bathurst, NB is looking for a shuttle driver to move freight between and within facilities. You'll work with a non-articulated vehicle, handling loading, unloading and sorting duties on site.

What you'll do

• Load and unload company vehicles and containers

• Check package sizes and weights, and sort them by service type and destination

• Scan packages with handheld tracking equipment

• Follow safety and security rules for packages, equipment and vehicles

• Keep vehicles clean and handle minor maintenance tasks

• Follow airport authority rules and all government and company operating standards

• Occasionally help with pickups or deliveries in emergencies (no more than 10% of your time)

• If assigned to temperature-controlled freight, troubleshoot air and carrier temperature control units on the road, complete required pre- and post-trip inspections, and follow procedures that protect cargo temperature

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid, fully unrestricted Class 5/Class G driver's license with a clean driving history

• Able to complete all required initial and ongoing training

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs on your own, or move packages up to 150 lbs with equipment or help from a coworker

• Strong people skills

• Knowledge of FedEx Express Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is a plus

• In Quebec, you must be fluent in both French and English

• A driving record with two or fewer violations or accidents in the past 24 months
