Shunt Truck Driver — Yard Equipment Operator

Harmony Beef Company in Balzac, Alberta needs a Shunt Truck Driver to keep freight moving through the yard and warehouse. You'll run shunt trucks and forklifts to position containers and cargo, helping the facility stay on schedule.

What you'll do

• Move freight and containers around the yard and warehouse using shunt trucks and other heavy equipment

• Load and unload trucks, containers and storage areas according to safety rules

• Check your equipment before use and flag any maintenance issues

• Work with warehouse staff, dispatch and other drivers to keep freight flowing without delays

• Log freight movements and container locations for tracking

• Handle minor mechanical troubleshooting on heavy equipment when needed

• Help keep inventory organized so freight is easy to find and retrieve

Requirements

• Experience running forklifts, shunt trucks or similar equipment in a warehouse or logistics setting

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record

• Understanding of freight handling, container management and yard procedures

• Basic know-how troubleshooting mechanical issues on heavy machinery

• Solid safety habits around equipment operation

• Good communication skills for working with the team and reporting problems
