About this job
Our company needs snow plow truck drivers for the winter season, working out of Cranbrook/Yahk, BC. This seasonal role runs from October until approximately March 2027, keeping highways safe during snow events.
Schedule
- Seasonal position, October through approximately March 2027
- You'll be on call around the clock, including overnight shifts, ready to respond when snow hits
What you'll do
- Drive trucks set up for sanding, plowing and salting during winter weather events
- Haul material as needed
- Clear litter, debris and roadkill from roads and highways
Requirements
- Class 1 or Class 3 license with Air Brake endorsement and a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a tandem truck and trailer, and able to operate a loader
- Ready to work through harsh winter conditions
- Background in construction or highway maintenance is a plus, not mandatory
- Decent mechanical know-how and quick to pick up new skills
- Good team attitude, solid communication skills, and a focus on safety
