About this job
Our company needs Snow Plow Truck Drivers for the winter season in Fairmont, BC. This seasonal role runs from October until approximately March 2027, keeping highways safe during snow events.
Schedule
- On-call shifts around the clock, including overnight graveyard shifts, whenever winter weather hits
What you'll do
- Drive and operate sanding, plowing and salting trucks during snow events
- Haul materials with trucks as needed
- Clear litter, debris and roadkill from roads and highways
Requirements
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driving abstract
- Able to drive a tandem truck and trailer, and operate a loader
- Comfortable working in harsh winter conditions
- Construction or highway maintenance background is a plus
- Mechanically inclined and a quick learner
- Good teamwork, communication and people skills, with a safety-first mindset
