About this job
Our company needs a temporary courier driver in Cambridge, ON, for up to 12 weeks depending on business needs. You will run a local pick-up and delivery route in a van, and the hiring process includes an interview.
Pay
- $23.28 per hour
Schedule
- Either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
- Starts around 8:30am, though times can vary
What you'll do
- Pick up and deliver packages on your assigned route, representing the company professionally
- Sort and check your packages, then report stop counts and missorts
- Load your van, plan an efficient route and keep packages and equipment secure
- Confirm shipments meet service standards, are labelled correctly and have neat, accurate paperwork
- Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems and enter correct information
- Answer customer questions about services and pass sales leads to the sales team
- Drive safely within all regulations and company procedures
- Depending on location and workload, you may help load aircraft and containers and sort and scan packages
Requirements
- Full G license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No experience needed; 1 year of customer service is preferred
- No more than two violations or accidents on your record in the past 24 months
- Candidates are also assessed on their driving abstract, interview and driving evaluations

- Quebec roles require bilingual French and English
