Seasonal CDL Propane Delivery Driver — Local Route

Our company in Wooster, OH is looking for a Seasonal Propane Delivery Driver to help deliver bulk propane to customers during the heating season, which runs from October through April. You'll work independently on local routes, following safety and regulatory protocols while keeping the community supplied with heat.

What you'll do

• Deliver bulk propane to customer locations, following state and federal rules plus Santmyer's safety procedures

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep accurate delivery and truck logs

• Pass along customer questions or needs to the right department

• Possibly help with repairs, installs, or testing propane systems for leaks

• Take on other tasks as needed

Requirements

• CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements required

• Valid DOT medical card

• Must pass DOT requirements: road test, physical exam, and drug screen

• At least 21 years old

• 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred

• Prior propane delivery experience preferred

• Comfortable working alone and familiar with the local area

• Basic math and organizational skills, and a cooperative attitude

Physical demands

• Able to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb to complete vehicle inspections

• May need to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• Will work outdoors in all weather, including snow, ice, heat, and wind

• Occasional ladder climbing

• Able to sit and drive for up to 11 hours while hauling propane and related products
