School Bus Driver — Montmartre, SK — Daily Base Pay + $0.23/km

Our company needs a school bus driver for routes based at Montmartre School. You will get students safely to and from school and school activities, working alongside other staff to support kids along the way. This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible.

Pay

• Full-time routes pay a daily base rate of $58.63 plus $0.23 per km driven.

What the job involves

• Operating a school bus safely across changing weather and road conditions

• Applying positive behaviour management techniques with student riders

• Working with minimal direct supervision

• Possibly helping load and unload students who use wheelchairs

Requirements

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 1-5 driver's license

• Valid school bus endorsement (training provided if you don't have one yet)

• Clean driving record, with no serious violations

• A 5-year SGI driver's abstract covering both personal and commercial driving, submitted with your application

• Passing a medical exam as required under The Highway Traffic Act

• First Aid certification, or willingness to get certified with the division covering the cost

• Solid knowledge of the Highway and Transportation Act, the Traffic Safety Act, and both the Saskatchewan Driver's Handbook and Commercial Driver's Handbook

• Patience and experience working with children
