School Bus Driver — $19.28/Hr, Paid CDL Training, No Nights/Weekends

Drive a school bus on local routes in Portsmouth, OH and get your CDL paid for, even if you've never driven one before. This is a part-time, split-shift role built around school hours, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Pay

• $19.28 per hour

• Guaranteed minimum of 5 hours per day, with chances to pick up extra routes or field trips for more pay

• Direct deposit, with weekly or daily pay available at some locations

Schedule and home time

• Split shifts covering mornings and afternoons, no evening, weekend, or holiday work

• Seasonal position with summers off

What you'll do

• Operate a school bus safely on your assigned local route

• Carry students to and from school, athletic events, and other activities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus

• Keep the bus clean and safe

• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff

• Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety rules

Training

You don't need a CDL to apply. The company helps you get your initial CDL permit, then pays you while you finish the rest of the training needed to earn your full license.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license in good standing (CDL not required to start)

• Held a driver's license for at least 3 years (5 years if you're applying in Tennessee)

• At least 21 years old (25 in Tennessee)

• If you've worked in a DOT-regulated driving job in the last 3 years, that employment must be verifiable under DOT rules

• Able to pass a DOT drug test, physical exam, and background check

• Must follow DOT rules, including the ban on marijuana use even where medically permitted

• Dependable attendance and a safety-first mindset
