Pay
- Starting wage of $33.87 per hour, offered as a good-faith base estimate
- Final pay may vary based on your experience, education, training, certifications and work location
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
What you'll haul
- Large mobile open-top and compactor containers picked up from customer locations
- Loads are prepared, loaded and transported to disposal, transfer or recycling sites once the truck reaches legal capacity

- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and file the standard inspection report
- Follow all safety rules along with OSHA, DOT and local regulations
- Report unsafe conditions, service issues, accidents or property damage to your manager or dispatch right away
- Flag any blocked routes, overweight containers or other service interruptions
- Pass along customer requests to your manager or dispatch
- Leave each site clean, with containers fully emptied
- Stick to your assigned route and finish end-of-day paperwork and check-out
- Pitch in to help other drivers when needed to keep customers served
- Take part in required training sessions and team meetings
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience driving a CDL-required vehicle, or 1 year of equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Minimum age 18, and legally able to work in Canada
- English skills sufficient to deal with the public, read traffic signs, answer official questions and fill out reports
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test and physical exam
- CDL Class A or CDL Class B, both with an air-brake endorsement
- High school diploma or GED preferred, not required
- Comfortable with standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking and hearing on the job
- This is a safety-sensitive role: expect drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment, random, post-incident and reasonable-suspicion checks, under government and company rules
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision and life insurance, plus short-term disability coverage
- Stock purchase plan and company-matched RRSP contributions
- Paid vacation, holidays and personal days
- Benefits can vary by location
