Residential Class 5 Driver — Employer-Paid Health Benefits

Our company is hiring a Residential Driver in Coquitlam, BC to run an automated side-load truck on neighborhood collection routes. You'll handle curbside waste and recycling pickup while keeping safety and service standards front and center.

What you'll do

• Drive an Automated Side-Load (ASL) truck along assigned residential routes

• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, plus trip logs and paperwork

• Run the hydraulic and compaction systems correctly to avoid damaging equipment

• Flag any mechanical issues, road hazards or safety concerns to your supervisor right away

• Keep your route on schedule, your truck clean, and your customer service sharp

• Follow traffic laws, local bylaws, company safety rules and PPE requirements

• Coordinate with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors to keep operations running smoothly

• Take on other duties as your leadership team assigns

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (DZ or above in Ontario), with a clean driving abstract and CVOR

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience, or graduation from an accredited truck driving school

• Proven ability to safely handle heavy collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems

• Able to meet all safety standards required for this safety-sensitive role

• Good attendance history, with flexibility for early starts and overtime as operations require
