About this job
Our company is looking for a Regional OTR driver based near Fairfield, OH. You'll run regional freight, with most weekends at home, while keeping everything DOT compliant.
Pay
- From $0.58 per mile
Home time
- Home most weekends
What you'll do
- Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log them
- Check shipping paperwork and load details, including hazmat info when it applies
- Inspect and secure freight to meet safety rules
- Pick up, haul, and deliver freight on time
- Load and unload freight as needed
- Keep accurate logs, fuel receipts, mileage reports and other DOT records
- Report any accidents, injuries or equipment damage right away
- Communicate any delays that could affect pickup or delivery
Requirements
- Valid CDL
- Must meet DOT qualification and insurability standards
- Pass a pre-employment background check
- Meet drug and alcohol testing requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of similar driving experience preferred
