About this job
Our company is looking for a Regional CDL-A driver out of New Castle, PA. You'll bring your truck and trailer home between runs, with weekends off or a 48-hour break on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Pay
- Per-mile rate depends on your experience and hazmat endorsement: $0.68-$0.71 per mile if you have 9-29 months of qualifying experience, and $0.70-$0.73 per mile once you pass 30 months
- Extra pay on shorter loaded runs: $35 for trips of 0-100 miles, $25 for trips of 101-400 miles
- Typical yearly earnings land between $89,000 and $100,000
- A safety bonus is available every 90 days: $925 with hazmat or $750 plus 8 hours of paid time off
- New hires with a clean safety record can choose a $1,600 sign-on bonus (hazmat) or $1,425, plus orientation pay and PTO, or a simpler $1,150 sign-on bonus with orientation pay
Home time
You'll be home on weekends, or alternatively home Mondays and Tuesdays for a 48-hour break.
What you'll haul
Late-model 2020-2025 Freightliner Cascadia tractors, running loaded miles on regional lanes. You keep your assigned truck and trailer at your home between runs, but you'll need your own parking - the company does not cover parking costs, and the trailer stays empty when parked at home.
Requirements
- At least 9 months of OTR or regional driving experience within the last 2 years, including 2 months of winter driving
- Must pass a hair and urine drug screen
- Clean, qualifying safety record
