Regional CDL-A Owner Operator — Home Weekly, Drop & Hook

Our company is looking for regional CDL-A owner operators who already have their own truck. You would haul dedicated customer freight, mostly drop and hook with no brokered loads, and be home weekly.

Pay

• You are paid 70%-73% of weekly gross revenue.

• Weekly gross is stated as $6,500-$12,000, with an average of $7,500 or more; net after all deductions is estimated at $3,000-$6,000 a week.

• Settlements are paid weekly by direct deposit every Friday.

• Safety bonuses of $2,000-$3,000 are paid quarterly and again annually.

Home time and routes

• Home every week, with extra time at home possible when a run takes you past your area. One part of the posting says home every other weekend.

• Main operating area: IL, IN, MI, OH, PA, IA, MN, WI, MO, KY, TN and SC. No West Coast or East Coast runs.

• Year-round contracted rates on dedicated customer freight.

Equipment and costs

• The company has 165 53-foot trailers, most under five years old, with a 4:1 trailer-to-truck ratio.

• Trailer fee is $750 a month and the plate program is $50 a week.

• Shop work is billed at $100 an hour, with 3 garage bays and 6 full-time mechanics on site.

• EZ Pass, Pre-Pass and Motive and AtoB fuel cards are provided.

Extras

• Passenger ride-along and pet rider programs.

• Small, mid-sized carrier where drivers stay about 7 years on average. You can tour the facility, meet staff, ask to see current settlements and talk to current drivers.

Requirements

• Your own tractor, model year 2015 or newer.

• CDL-A with at least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience.

• Steady work history.

• No felony in the past 7 years and no DUI or reckless driving in the past 5 years.
