About this job
Our company is hiring regional Class A CDL drivers out of Edwardsville, KS, and new CDL graduates are welcome. You will haul dry van and reefer loads on regional lanes, with no-touch freight and a weekly reset at home.
Pay
- $0.50–$0.60 per mile, about $1,100–$1,500 a week on roughly 2,000–2,500 miles
- Estimated yearly equivalent of $72,000–$78,000; actual earnings vary
- Pay per mile goes up $0.10 each year, with the top rate reached after 10 years
- Extra pay for qualifying stops
Home time
- Home every week for a 34-hour reset
What you'll haul
- Dry van and refrigerated freight on regional routes
- No loading or unloading in normal freight handling
What you'll do
- Drive safely, follow dispatch and GPS routing, and meet delivery times
- Inspect the truck before, during and after each trip
- Keep logs and delivery paperwork accurate and follow FMCSA and DOT rules
- Watch reefer settings and report delays or problems right away
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL; recent graduates can apply
- Understanding of road safety and hours-of-service rules
- Must meet FMCSA qualification rules and company hiring standards
