Regional CDL-A Driver

Reed Transportation Solutions LLC, an our company, is looking for a CDL-A truck driver based out of Bedford, OH to run routes and keep freight moving on schedule.

What you'll do

• Drive tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on assigned routes, getting deliveries there on time

• Plan efficient routes using GPS and work within time constraints

• Load, unload and handle freight carefully, including hazardous materials when you're certified and following FMCSA rules

• Follow DOT, FMCSA and other rules that apply to commercial driving and cargo

• Check your truck before and after each trip and report any repair needs right away

• Keep accurate records of pickups, deliveries, loading/unloading and compliance paperwork

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history and real experience behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer

• Background driving delivery routes in local areas

• Comfortable with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types, such as refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks and roll-off trucks

• Able to move freight by hand safely; forklift experience helps but isn't required

• Solid grasp of FMCSA and DOT rules, hazmat regulations and general safety practices

• Confident reading GPS and mapping out routes quickly

• Physically able to lift and move freight, with or without equipment

• Clear communicator who can work with dispatch and keep paperwork in order
